The Export Promotion Council of Indian Manpower (EPCOM) will strive to promote high standards of professionalism among its members. In furtherance of this aim, EPCOM will adopt a Code of Ethics, and a set of Professional Practice Guidelines that will reflect important developments in the profession and the business environment.

"Overseas Recruitment"is a specialized form of placement which involves recognition from Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. Its purpose is to assist jobseeker to place them for overseas employer in a positions suitable to their skills through comprehensive, quality assured search manually or net based.

Overseas Recruitment is widely recognized as an indispensable service equally to employers and employees worldwide, particularly to the Gulf region and includes European countries and countries of the erstwhile Soviet Union. It also helps to resolve the problems faced by a large section of the un-employed population of our Country.

EPCOM and its members recognize that outstanding professional service rests on the quality and services provided to overseas employers and the Emigrants as well. Overseas Recruitment firms/companies depend on all of these factors for their continuing success.

EPCOM members are partners with their clients (overseas employers) in a consultative process aimed at selecting the most competent workers/executives. The professional recruitment consultant identifies the client's specific needs and unique culture as essential elements in recruiting appropriate competent worker for client organizations.

EPCOM members are supposed to maintain professional relationships with candidates/emigrants and treat them with respect at all times. EPCOM members must regard honesty, objectivity, accuracy and confidentiality as fundamental to their relationship with candidates/emigrants. EPCOM members should also strive to attract and develop their own talent, building the knowledge and experience that will guide the profession into the future.

EPCOM members understand the importance of public trust in the Overseas Recruitment profession. Overseas Recruitment consultants stay abreast of socio-economic developments in the communities they serve and recognize the need to respond to contemporary developments such as changing demographics, new technologies and changes in the employment relationship. EPCOM’s mission includes understanding these changes and taking constructive positions on public policy issues that affect the Overseas Recruitment profession, foreign employers and the public.

The EPCOM’s Code of Ethics lays downs the fundamental principles that guide Overseas Recruitment consultants in performing their duties and conducting their relationships with these constituents (Foreign employers, Candidates/Emigrants, Consultants & Public). The Professional Practice Guidelines represent the EPCOM’s view of contemporary best practices that exemplify the standards of professionalism expected of Overseas Recruitment Consultants. Underlying these principles and best practices is the expectation that EPCOM members will articulate and define clearly for employers and emigrants the terms of their relationship and the members' commitment to perform their work professionally.

The Export Promotion Council of Indian Manpower (EPCOM) is an Association of the leading Overseas Recruitment organizations and allied professionals of India. In order to perform their duties responsibly, EPCOM member firms/companies are-guided by the following ethical principles, which reflect fundamental values of the Overseas Recruitment profession. EPCOM is committed to educating its members about the application of these principles.

Conduct their activities in a manner that reflects favorably on the profession.



Conduct their business activities with integrity and avoid conduct that is deceptive or misleading.



Perform all recruitment assignments competently, and with an appropriate degree of knowledge, thoroughness and urgency.



Exercise objective and impartial judgment in each recruitment assignment, giving due consideration to all relevant facts.



Strive to be accurate in all communications with clients and candidates and encourage them to exchange relevant and accurate information.

Avoid, or resolve through disclosure and waiver, conflicts of interest



Respect confidential information entrusted to them by clients and candidates.



Serve their clients loyally and protect client interests when performing assignments.
